Supervising Teacher 

 

This agreement is between Creston Community School District (CCSD) and the supervising teacher. This agreement outlines the terms and conditions of the Supervising Teacher and is not inclusive.  A supervising teacher, also known as a cooperating teacher or mentor teacher, is an experienced educator who plays a critical role in the training and development of student teachers or novice educators. The primary responsibilities of a supervising teacher include:

 

 

Supervising teachers play a crucial role in shaping the future of education by mentoring and guiding the next generation of educators, helping them gain the practical skills and knowledge needed to be successful in the classroom. Their support and feedback contribute significantly to the professional development of novice teachers.

 

A district-approved supervising teacher who successfully completes the supervision cycle with a student teacher shall be compensated $500 to be paid the month following completion.
